Easter sales and a merger gives Naked Wines in Norwich a great burst
Wine retailer Naked Wines is celebrating after a sharp rise in Easter sales, and its more recent purchase by Majestic Wines. The Norwich based firm, reported a 37% rise in sales of rosé over Easter as customers get ready for spring. Naked Wines, founded in 2008, runs a crowd funded business where around 300,000 subscribers help fund over 130 independent winemakers in 14 different countries in exchange for access to exclusive wines at preferential prices. Majestic and Naked Wines will continue to operate as independent brands, and as part of the merger Naked Wines founder Rowan Gormley will take over as boss of the enlarged group.
